Honeywell Forge is a Honeywell platform for performance management of operational assets such as buildings and industrial facilities. It connects installed equipment, including equipment not made by Honeywell, adds context through domain-specific models and applies AI to real-time data. The offering consists of digital services, applications and an AI engine, and according to Honeywell it bridges IT and OT environments. Honeywell itself describes Forge as a software-as-a-service solution.
Honeywell International is headquartered in Charlotte, North Carolina (US); there is no separate foreign owner. A European organisation adopting Forge therefore contracts with a US group that can be subject to US law such as the CLOUD Act. Honeywell's product page does not state where customer data is hosted or exactly how delivery is arranged. Because the data often comes from critical installations, it is worth agreeing the hosting region, vendor access and a data processing agreement in the contract beforehand.
