T IoT Hub is an interface platform from Deutsche Telekom for managing IoT devices and their mobile connectivity. It connects an organisation's systems with the networks and platforms of several operators and providers and makes its functions available through application programming interfaces (APIs). Connectivity management covers the life cycle of IoT connections, while device management covers registration, grouping and monitoring of devices.
Deutsche Telekom AG is headquartered in Bonn, Germany. The German federal government holds a minority stake and the rest of the shares are widely held, so there is no foreign controlling owner. The vendor documentation does not state where T IoT Hub is hosted. A European organisation should therefore request the data-centre location and the processing terms in writing before use, and check which sub-processors handle device data.
