Transporeon is a cloud-based transportation management platform for shippers, retailers, suppliers, goods recipients, carriers and logistics service providers. Its modules cover freight sourcing through a freight marketplace, transport execution and visibility, dock and yard management, and freight audit and payment. The vendor also offers AI-supported tools such as autonomous procurement and predictive arrival times. The platform is delivered as software as a service and connects the parties of a supply chain on one network.
Transporeon GmbH is headquartered in Ulm, Germany. Trimble, a US company, completed its acquisition of Transporeon in April 2023, and Transporeon is now reported within Trimble's transportation segment. A US parent is relevant under the US CLOUD Act, regardless of where data is physically stored. The vendor does not state hosting locations on its public pages and describes no self-hosted or open-source edition. A European organisation should therefore ask which regions process its shipment and partner data, and which Trimble entities can access it, and settle this in the contract.
