52°North Spatial Information Research GmbH is a non-profit company in Münster, Germany, that develops spatial research data infrastructures and open source software for geodata. Its software includes the Sensor Observation Service (SOS), Helgoland for exploring sensor data, javaPS for web-based geoprocessing and the arctic-sea framework for OGC services. The company also offers services such as consulting on geospatial interoperability and data integration, cloud and DevOps, and data analytics. Because you run the components yourself, you decide where your data is stored, for example on servers inside the EU. No central cloud service is needed to use the software.
