cse.kibe is a web-based application for administering childcare facilities, developed by CSE IT Solutions AG in Aarberg, Switzerland, which has built software for schools and childcare since 1995. It is aimed at day-care centres, nurseries, after-school care, family day care, all-day schools, lunch programmes and playgroups. Modules cover areas such as registration, invoicing and accounting, and a parent portal in which parents enter household and income data, add waiting-list entries and upload documents. The vendor also provides consulting, training, support, data migration and interfaces, for example to accounting or residents' registry systems.
CSE IT Solutions AG is based in Switzerland, an EFTA country with an EU adequacy decision, and names no parent company. According to its privacy statement, the data servers for cse.kibe are located in Switzerland and backups are kept at several Swiss locations; some data may be processed on servers in the EU. For this application data CSE acts as a processor, while the childcare organisations remain the controllers. A list of the main service providers is available on request.
