DOCumenter is Swiss software for medical documentation, developed by DOCumenter SA in Épalinges for physicians and healthcare providers. It combines ambient transcription of consultations with analysis of multiple documents, such as PDFs, scans and Word files, and generates structured medical reports from them. An additional module suggests billable TARDOC positions, and reports can be exported as PDF, Word or FHIR. Besides the web interface, a mobile app records conversations. The service is offered as SaaS.
The company is headquartered in Switzerland; no foreign parent company is named. According to the vendor, the service runs on its own Swiss bare-metal servers in Crissier, with no hyperscaler and no external AI API, and patient data, audio and generated reports are not stored: they are processed and then wiped from memory. The vendor relies on the Swiss data protection act (nLPD). Switzerland is not an EU member state but is an EFTA country with an EU adequacy decision. For healthcare providers who want to process medical records with AI, this is an option running entirely on Swiss infrastructure.
