AGFA HealthCare offers an Enterprise Imaging platform for hospitals and other healthcare providers. The platform combines PACS, a Vendor Neutral Archive (VNA) for storing images in one place, the XERO Universal Viewer, a streaming client for remote diagnostic reading, and embedded AI and workflow tools under the RUBEE name. According to the company, everything runs on one architecture and one database, in the cloud, on premises or as a hybrid. In the cloud option, AGFA manages the environment itself.
AGFA HealthCare N.V. is part of the Agfa-Gevaert Group, headquartered in Mortsel, Belgium. In 2020 the company sold its ORBIS electronic health record and selected activities in Germany, Austria, Switzerland, France and Brazil to Dedalus. The imaging IT business elsewhere, including Enterprise Imaging, stayed with Agfa. The service is not open source. No hosting region is stated for the cloud service. Anyone choosing the cloud or hybrid option should therefore fix the hosting location and the processors contractually.
