DuraEdgeAI is documentation software with AI functions for physicians, from the Swiss company Novaloop AG. It transcribes consultations in the background, structures clinical notes and letters, compiles a traceable summary of the patient record before a visit and checks documents against a practice's own rules. Every output is a draft for the treating physician; the vendor states it is not a medical device. The software runs as a Mac or Windows application, on a practice server or via the DuraCloud inference service.
Novaloop AG is registered in Winterthur and works from Zurich, Switzerland. Switzerland is not in the EU but is an EFTA country with an EU adequacy decision. Processing can stay on the device or practice server, and Lockdown Mode keeps all AI processing inside the practice. DuraCloud runs with Swisscom and Infomaniak in Switzerland and, according to the privacy policy, stores nothing. Billing and licence management use Stripe and Keygen in the US.
