Froxlor is an open-source server management panel for web hosting. Administrators use its web interface, command-line tool or API to manage customer websites, PHP-FPM settings, MySQL databases, email accounts and SSL certificates on their own Linux servers. The project is licensed under the GNU General Public License (GPL) and maintained by a community team of server administrators, offering an open alternative to commercial hosting panels of the cPanel or Plesk type.
Froxlor is developed in Germany. The team page names froxlor GmbH in Friedrichsdorf as the contact company, and the imprint lists an address in Frankfurt am Main. Because the panel is installed on servers that the operator controls, no vendor cloud is involved and customer data stays on that infrastructure. A European organisation can inspect and modify the code and keep the whole hosting stack in its own hands. The organisation running the panel remains responsible for the personal data it processes.
