Healio: sovereignty score and 8 European alternatives

Healio is a cloud platform for staff scheduling in healthcare, for hospitals, clinics and care homes (called EMS in Switzerland). Employees enter their preferred hours and leave requests in the app or browser. The manager builds the roster from this, and an AI function suggests adjustments based on preferences, skills and configured rules such as rest periods, legal requirements and coverage targets. The manager approves the roster before publication. The app is available for iOS and Android. At the start, the vendor's team configures the department together with your managers.

Healio is a product of Healio Technologies SA in Lausanne, Switzerland. According to its privacy policy, the application's data (schedules, absences, people) is hosted in Switzerland. The website itself is delivered through the US company Cloudflare, separately from that data. Switzerland is not an EU member state but is an EFTA country with an EU adequacy decision. No foreign parent company was found. Institutions receive the application's own data protection statement from the vendor; request it in advance.
