health-engine is a hospital IT platform from the i-engineers. It brings medical and administrative data from specialist clinical applications together in one central system and supports the coordination of therapy processes across departments, functional areas and sites. The components include a clinical data repository with apps such as a clinical cockpit, archive viewer and order entry, an interoperability platform with more than one hundred interfaces based on IHE, HL7, FHIR and DICOM, and integrated process control. It also offers role-based authorisation, an audit trail and sign-in options such as Active Directory, SSO and OIDC.
The vendor is the i-engineers AG in Zurich, Switzerland, which also has a German entity, the i-engineers GmbH in Münster. No parent company is stated. The vendor's site does not say whether health-engine is delivered on-premises or hosted, or where data is processed, so ask the vendor about both. Switzerland is not in the EU but is an EFTA country with an EU adequacy decision.
