Hopital Manager is a hospital ERP from the French group Softway Medical for hospitals and clinics in the private, non-profit and public sectors. According to the publisher it is natively multi-site and multi-activity (acute care, rehabilitation, psychiatry and home hospitalisation) and combines hospital administration with the electronic patient record. The group also offers related products, such as the Mediboard patient record and radiology and nuclear-medicine systems, and describes itself as publisher, integrator and health-data host.
Softway Medical has its registered office in Fuveau, France. In 2025 the group announced that Bain Capital Europe, the European private equity fund of the US investor Bain Capital, was joining its capital; a law firm reports that Bain Capital acquired a majority interest in the French parent company. A US owner is relevant to the jurisdiction the group may fall under, including the CLOUD Act. The group states that it hosts sensitive health data in France and also has a Canadian subsidiary. Confirm in the contract which entities and sub-processors can access hosted data and which exit and data-return terms apply.
