hospital-pool.ch is a web application for staff rostering in healthcare, made by hospital-pool GmbH in Stäfa, Switzerland. Hospitals and other care institutions use it to plan shifts in real time, short to long term, for all employees and not only float-pool staff. Employees see their own schedule, can sync it to a smartphone or Outlook calendar and receive configurable notifications when something changes. The planning process is configurable, from central planning to wide delegation, and external staffing agencies can be connected. The service is delivered as SaaS and works on smartphones, tablets and desktops.
According to its privacy statement, hospital-pool GmbH runs dedicated servers in Switzerland to which only it has physical access, stores the data itself and discloses it to third parties only where the law requires. Processing follows the Swiss Data Protection Act, and a data-processing agreement is available. The site names no parent company. Switzerland is not an EU member but an EFTA country with an EU adequacy decision. According to the vendor, sensitive data can only be retrieved from the healthcare institution's intranet.
