iCIMS is a US company based in Holmdel, New Jersey. It is privately held: Vista Equity Partners acquired it in 2018, and TA Associates later invested alongside Vista, with Susquehanna Growth Equity remaining a shareholder. The company operates data centres in the US, the EU and Canada, and since 2017 customers have been able to store data on the European continent, including their talent system of record. The software is proprietary. Even with EU hosting, European organisations should consider US jurisdiction, including the CLOUD Act, because the operating company is American.
