Inmanta is a Belgian software company, a spin-off from KU Leuven, that provides service orchestration for telecom operators and service providers. The Inmanta Service Orchestrator is an intent-based, multi-domain platform for automating the lifecycle of network and IT services. Further products target network automation for business and wholesale connectivity (Inmanta Connect) and private mobile networks (MPN Orchestrator). Orchestration rests on a configuration model that describes services and their dependencies.
The Inmanta core is published as open source on GitHub under the Apache 2.0 licence and is mainly developed and maintained by Inmanta NV, while the company markets its orchestrator as a commercial product. Because the customer can install and operate the software itself, it decides where the software runs and where data resides. The sources consulted mention no hosted service and no foreign parent company. For European operators this is a Belgian supplier with an inspectable open-source core.
