Jorani: sovereignty score and 8 European alternatives

Jorani is an open-source system for managing leave and overtime, designed for small organisations. Employees submit requests, a supervisor approves them and the system tracks balances. It offers leave balance reports per department, a monthly presence report, calendars per person or team and an organisation tree with a supervisor per unit. There is a REST API with OAuth2 and integration with SAML, OpenLDAP or Active Directory for single sign-on. It is a PHP application with MySQL and can be installed with Docker.

Jorani is licensed under the MIT licence and maintained by a single lead developer who is named as the copyright holder; no company or foundation is stated behind it. The developer's public profile lists France as the location. The latest release on GitHub is 1.0.4, with security fixes and PHP 8.5 support. Because you run Jorani on your own server, your employees' leave data stays under your own control and is not sent to the developer.
