Libert-ia is a voice assistant for health and social care professionals. Users give an instruction in a single sentence on their phone, for example to add or summarise a care note, schedule and view appointments, read and send emails, or create and summarise documents. The assistant converts the speech to text, has an AI component analyse the request, asks for confirmation and then carries out the action in the connected software. The vendor says it complies with the French interoperability framework for health information systems (CI-SIS).
Libert-ia is a French company with its registered seat in Sayat. According to its terms, Google Ireland Limited hosts the data and Microsoft France SAS hosts the AI component; both are described as HDS certified, with servers in Europe. Both belong to US-based groups, so the US CLOUD Act may apply to them; the pages consulted do not address this. The vendor states that no health data is stored on Libert-ia itself and that the AI provider has no access to the data. Include them in your own risk assessment.
