Lokalise is a cloud-based (SaaS) localisation platform and translation management system for web and mobile apps, games and digital content. It offers AI translation that applies approved terminology and tone, automated quality evaluation with human review for low-confidence results, role-based approvals, translation memory and automated workflows from translation to publishing. More than 60 integrations cover tools such as Figma, GitHub, GitLab, Jira, Contentful and WordPress, and an API, SDKs, a CLI and over-the-air updates for mobile apps are available.
Lokalise was founded in 2017 in Riga, Latvia, and describes itself as operating globally. Its privacy policy names Lokalise, Inc. in Dover, Delaware, United States, as the data controller, so a European organisation should take US jurisdiction into account. According to the vendor, all customer data is hosted on AWS infrastructure in EU regions, in ISO 27001-certified data centres. The privacy policy adds that personal data may also be stored or processed in other countries where Lokalise or its providers operate, including the United States. The platform is not open source.
