Nimbus AR is share register software from Nimbus AG in Ziegelbrücke, Switzerland, for companies and other organisations that keep a register of their shareholders. It manages master data and shareholder accounts, handles changes of ownership and capital transactions, produces custom lists, reports and statistics, and supports dividend payments in the ISO 20022 format. Customers can either run the register themselves with the software or outsource its administration entirely to Nimbus.
Nimbus AG is headquartered in Switzerland, and its website names no foreign parent company. According to the vendor, all systems run redundantly and exclusively in Swiss data centres. Switzerland is not an EU member but an EFTA country whose data protection level the EU recognises through an adequacy decision. In its privacy statement the vendor says it follows both the Swiss data protection act and the GDPR. A self-hosted edition is not mentioned, so if you need to run the software on your own infrastructure, ask the vendor.
