OVHcloud Web Hosting is the shared web hosting offer of OVHcloud, for individuals, businesses and agencies. The plans support several websites and domain names per subscription, with one-click WordPress and, on higher plans, Joomla!, Drupal and PrestaShop. They also include free SSL, anti-DDoS protection, automatic backups and, depending on the plan, SSH, Git and FTP access, and there are separate plans for agencies. The service is delivered as a hosted service managed through a control panel.
OVHcloud (OVH Groupe SA) is headquartered in Roubaix, France, was founded in 1999 by Octave Klaba and is listed on Euronext Paris; the Klaba family still plays a central role in its leadership. According to OVHcloud, shared web hosting runs in French data centres. The company builds its own data centres and designs and manufactures its own servers, and it also operates data centres on several continents for other products. The service is not open source and cannot be self-hosted. For a European organisation, this means hosting under French and EU law with a provider that has no non-European parent company.
