Perbility HELIX: sovereignty score and 8 European alternatives

HELIX is a modular, cloud-based HR suite from Perbility. It covers personnel data and the digital personnel file, time management, analytics and workforce planning, recruiting, career pages and onboarding, apprenticeship management, organisation and cost management, learning and qualification management, appraisal and feedback processes, and digital forms and checklists. Customers activate only the modules they need. According to the vendor it integrates with SAP and DATEV and includes an AI assistant for tasks such as CV matching.

HELIX is provided by Perbility GmbH in Bamberg, Germany. According to the acquirer's announcement, the Amsterdam-based private equity firm Rivean Capital announced in 2024 that it would acquire a majority stake in the group's holding company, so the ultimate parent sits in the Netherlands, an EU member state. The vendor states that HELIX is hosted exclusively in German data centres, uses no US hyperscaler and is GDPR-compliant, which it says removes CLOUD Act exposure. That is the vendor's own claim; confirm it in the data processing agreement.
