Personio Recruiting is the recruitment module of Personio, a cloud-based HR software platform aimed at small and medium-sized businesses. It supports publishing jobs once and promoting them on a branded career page and external job boards, receiving applications into candidate profiles, moving candidates through recruiting stages in a pipeline and sharing tasks with the hiring team. Once a candidate is accepted, an employee record can be created in the same system. Personio is delivered as software as a service, and a Recruiting API exists for connecting a company's own career site.
Personio is headquartered in Munich, Germany; the controller entity named in its privacy notice is Personio SE & Co. KG. The company is privately held and has a US affiliate, Personio Corp. According to the privacy notice, usage data is stored exclusively in the European Union; the notice does not say where customer HR data is stored, and Personio refers to its trust centre and sub-processor list for that. The software is not open source. European organisations should verify hosting and sub-processors in the data processing agreement.
