PKSplus is a clinical information system for nursing care, made by Boxler Informatik AG. It documents and manages the whole nursing process: patient information, assessments, care planning, medical orders, reports and recording of services performed. Physicians can place orders for nursing or service departments such as radiology or physiotherapy, either inside the hospital or, according to the vendor, via the web from their own practice. A companion module, PKSplusReport, provides web-based and pivot-table analysis.
Boxler Informatik AG is headquartered in Kloten, Switzerland, and no parent company is named. Switzerland is not an EU member but is an EFTA country with an EU adequacy decision for data protection. The vendor's pages do not say how PKSplus is delivered or where its data is hosted. This text therefore assumes Switzerland; for patient data, ask the vendor to confirm the deployment model, the hosting location and any subprocessors.
