RETTpro is web-based software for ambulance and rescue service organisations. It supports the daily running of a station with a station log, task and message handling, vehicle records with defects and maintenance dates, driver licence checks, mission records and a critical incident reporting system for anonymous reports. Modules add stock management (LAGERpro), medical device documentation (MPGpro) and working time recording (ARBEITSZEITpro), and the software also keeps training records and offers surveys and e-learning tests. RETTpro is developed by SEMAsystems GmbH, based in Schönberg in Bavaria, Germany. The software runs online; according to the vendor, data sits on a protected server and the vendor makes regular backups. SEMAsystems says it hosts its own software projects in a data centre, but the website does not state where that data centre is located, and it names no owner of the company. Because the software processes personal data of staff, ask the vendor for the data centre location, the processing agreement and the list of subprocessors before you decide.
