Scada-LTS: sovereignty score and 8 European alternatives

Scada-LTS is an open-source, web-based SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition) system for monitoring and controlling industrial processes, for example in energy, water distribution, manufacturing and laboratories. It includes a data acquisition engine supporting protocols such as Modbus TCP/IP, DNP3, IEC 101, OPC DA 2.0, serial and HTTP sources, alarms and events, a graphical HMI builder, reports, a scripting engine and REST and SOAP APIs. It is written in Java, runs as a .war file on any architecture or through a Windows installer, and is operated in the browser.

Scada-LTS is maintained by Abil'I.T., a private limited company in Luxembourg that holds the trademark and offers maintenance contracts, certified versions and support. The software is released under the GPL and the source code is on GitHub, where development continues. You install Scada-LTS on your own servers or machines, so process data stays inside your own network and does not need to go to the vendor. For industrial and public-sector organisations it is therefore a SCADA option under European stewardship.
