Sopht is an IT efficiency platform that maps and helps reduce the cost and carbon emissions of large organisations' IT. It collects data automatically from the IT estate, shows cost and emissions per service, application, device or AI model, ranks recommendations by return in euros and CO2, runs scenarios with ROI modelling, and links actions to a budget and CO2 trajectory with owners. IT, finance and sustainability teams can then work from the same figures. The platform is delivered as SaaS.
Sopht is the trade name of Greenbuddy, a French simplified joint-stock company in Villeurbanne; no parent company is stated. The vendor's site does not say where the platform is hosted; only the website runs at Webflow (US), and the privacy policy says US providers are covered by the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or standard contractual clauses. France, the seat of the company, is therefore used as the working assumption for the platform. Ask about the hosting location, subprocessors and the data processing agreement. It is commercial software, not open source.
