Traefik Proxy is an open-source edge router and HTTP reverse proxy for cloud-native applications. It configures itself dynamically by reading orchestrators and service registries such as Docker, Kubernetes and ECS, and supports Kubernetes Ingress and Gateway API, automatic TLS certificates via ACME, HTTP/2, gRPC, WebSockets and metrics for monitoring. It ships as a single binary and as a container image and runs on your own infrastructure. Traefik Labs also offers the commercial Traefik Hub, with an API gateway and API management, including for air-gapped environments.

Traefik Proxy is licensed under the MIT licence and can therefore be used and inspected freely. The project began as Containous, founded by Emile Vauge, and has been called Traefik Labs since September 2020. Because you host the proxy yourself, you decide where traffic and certificates are processed. The company names investors including Balderton, Elaia and 360 Capital Partners.
