Autodesk Fusion, formerly Fusion 360, is an integrated application for computer-aided design (CAD), manufacturing (CAM), engineering analysis (CAE) and printed circuit board design. It combines 3D modelling, simulation, documentation, machining and additive manufacturing, rendering, generative design and finite element analysis, and uses cloud-based AI for tasks such as automated modelling. Fusion runs on Windows, macOS and in the web browser, with view-only apps for Android and iOS. It is sold by subscription, with a free edition for personal, non-commercial use.
Autodesk is headquartered in San Francisco, California, in the United States, so US law such as the CLOUD Act can apply to data held by Autodesk. For some of its cloud products, such as Autodesk Docs, Autodesk lets customers choose the primary data storage region, including the European Union; which region applies to the cloud features of a given subscription should be confirmed with Autodesk. The software is proprietary.
