Balt is developed in France by SKILLFORGE APP, a simplified joint-stock company seated in Coignières. The legal notice states that the service's data is hosted in France and the European Union, and the privacy policy lists a single model provider, Microsoft Azure AI Foundry, in the France and Sweden regions. The same sub-processor list also names providers outside the EU, for example Vercel, which relays messages in transit, and Sumble in the United States. According to the vendor, customer data is not used to train models. European organisations should review that list and the transfer section before deployment.
