Gregwar Captcha Bundle: sovereignty score and 8 European alternatives

Gregwar Captcha Bundle (gregwar/captcha-bundle) is a Symfony bundle that adds a captcha form type to the Symfony Form component. The image is generated with the standalone PHP library gregwar/captcha and by default is embedded directly in the HTML. Options include image size, code length, character set and distortion. The bundle is aimed at developers of Symfony applications and is installed through Composer. According to Packagist, the authors are Grégoire Passault and Jeremy Livingston.

The bundle is open source under the MIT licence and runs entirely inside your own application: the captcha is generated and checked on your own server, with no external API calls to a third party and no controlling company. There is therefore no foreign parent company and no data transfer to a vendor. Where the data resides is determined by your own hosting. It is a simple image captcha and does not provide behavioural analysis or advanced bot detection.
