GREYCORTEX Mendel is a network detection and response platform for IT and industrial (OT) networks. It analyses network traffic, shows every device and its communications on a map, and detects malware, ransomware, command-and-control activity and unusual behaviour through intrusion detection, deep packet inspection and AI-based behaviour models. It is aimed at medium and large organisations, government bodies and critical infrastructure, and it connects to SIEM, SOAR and XDR tools. A separate Mendel in OT edition covers industrial control networks.
GreyCortex s.r.o. is a Czech company with its seat in Brno and also operates in Germany, Poland and Slovakia. Mendel itself runs on premises, including fully air-gapped deployments, so network data is processed within the customer's own environment. The product is proprietary and not open source. For a European organisation this offers a supplier based in the EU and software that can run under full local control, while support, updates and licensing terms are set by the contract.
