Haiilo emerged from the combination of three European companies: COYO from Germany, Smarp from Finland and Jubiwee from France. Its headquarters is in Hamburg, Germany, which places the vendor under European data protection law. For a European organisation this means engaging a vendor with a German headquarters. It is best to check in the data processing agreement which hosting region and which sub-processors are used for your data before adopting the service, especially if the intranet holds sensitive employee information.
