info-beamer is a cloud-based digital signage service for screens driven by Raspberry Pi computers. Organisations use it to play content on their own displays and to manage devices and content through a web dashboard or an API. The service is offered as a hosted platform, alongside info-beamer pi, a standalone player software sold under commercial licences.
The operator is inlua GmbH & Co. KG, based in Karlsruhe, Germany, and no non-German owner is named in the vendor's public pages. According to the privacy page, all servers are located in the EU, currently in a DigitalOcean data centre in Amsterdam, and files are stored in the EU. Some sub-processors, such as Cloudflare, Mailgun, Stripe and Paddle, are named without a hosting location. For a European organisation the German headquarters and EU storage are relevant. The sub-processor list and the licence terms of the player software should be reviewed before use, as the vendor's public pages name no open-source licence.
