Juniper Mist is a cloud-managed networking platform from Juniper Networks for managing Wi-Fi, wired networks and WAN. It consists of cloud services such as Wi-Fi Assurance, Wired Assurance and WAN Assurance, supplemented by the Marvis virtual assistant, analytics and the matching access points. It is aimed at organisations that want to run their network infrastructure centrally with AI-assisted operations. The management layer is delivered as a cloud service.
Juniper Networks is part of Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE), a US company. For a European organisation, that US ownership matters because of the possible reach of the CLOUD Act. Mist runs on regional cloud instances: the default EMEA instance is hosted in Germany, another instance is in England, and the global instances are in North America. The instance your organisation uses determines where management data is stored. The platform is not open source. When procuring it, check in which region your environment will be created and what arrangements apply to vendor access to that data.
