Lantek is a Spanish software company serving the sheet metal industry. It supplies CAD/CAM software for cutting, punching, bending and tube machines, with functions for nesting and machine programming. Founded in 1986, the company has its head office in Vitoria-Gasteiz and a software development centre in Bilbao, and works through an international network of offices. The range covers the full sheet metal and metalworking chain, from design to production, and is aimed at manufacturers who process sheet and profile material.
According to Spanish trade press, the German group TRUMPF acquired Lantek in full in 2021, and Lantek keeps its own brand. Its parent therefore sits in Germany, inside the EU but outside Spain, which for a European organisation raises a different question from an owner outside Europe. The sources used here do not state where customer data is stored, so that point should be confirmed with the vendor, together with the terms for any cloud functions and the data processing agreement.
