Lever is a subsidiary of Employ Inc., which announced its acquisition in August 2022 and kept the Lever brand. Employ's published sub-processor list names Amazon Web Services and Google Cloud as hosting providers for Lever, both with location USA, and shows no EU hosting; some other sub-processors operate in the EU, such as Textkernel for resume parsing and Adobe for document management. The software is proprietary. Because the provider is a US company and hosting is in the US, European organisations should assess transfer safeguards and US jurisdiction, including the CLOUD Act, before storing candidate data in it.
