Loket is a Dutch HR and payroll platform that brings payroll, leave, sickness absence, expense claims, onboarding, e-assessments and a digital personnel file into one service. It also offers workflows and automated payroll runs, an AI HR assistant, integrations with other systems, dashboards, custom reports and salary benchmarking. It is aimed at business owners, offered at three service levels, with a version for accountancy firms. Loket is delivered as an online service.
Loket is based in Tilburg, the Netherlands, and states in its footer that it is part of Van Spaendonck. According to its security page, the service is hosted from data centres in the Netherlands on Microsoft Azure, which means the infrastructure runs on the public cloud of a US provider even though the data sits in the Netherlands. The same page mentions an ISAE 3402 Type II statement, without giving scope or current validity. The software is proprietary and not self-hostable. A European organisation gets Dutch hosting and a Dutch vendor, and should weigh the Azure dependency in its own risk assessment.
