MoneyMoney is a desktop application for macOS that brings together the accounts, balances and transactions of a user's bank accounts. It retrieves data through the FinTS/HBCI standard and, where a bank allows it, through PSD2 interfaces, so users do not log in to each bank's website. It supports transfers, standing orders, categories and PDF account statements, and is installed on the user's own Mac.
MoneyMoney is operated by MRH applications GmbH in Düsseldorf, Germany, which is supervised by BaFin as an account information service provider. Account data and transactions are stored in an encrypted database on the Mac. Bank communication runs directly between the Mac and the bank, unless the optional PSD2 online service is enabled. The update server is hosted in Germany. The app is not described as open source. For a European organisation, banking data stays on its own device, although updates depend on a German vendor.
