NeoXam GP: sovereignty score and 8 European alternatives

NeoXam GP is investment and portfolio accounting software for institutional investors, asset managers, fund administrators, insurers and pension funds. Its engines cover position keeping, valuation and NAV publication, and accounting across several accounting standards. Data integration with quality controls, reconciliation against custodians, workflow automation and regulatory and client reporting are built in. The software can be operated by the customer, as a managed service, or fully hosted and operated by NeoXam (NeoXam as a Service) on AWS, Azure or NeoXam's own cloud.

NeoXam is a French joint-stock company with its registered office in Paris. According to its own history page, the French investor Eurazeo became majority shareholder; no foreign parent is named. For customers with EU data-residency requirements, NeoXam offers private-cloud hosting from data centres in France; elsewhere it uses AWS regions. Fix EU hosting in the contract and ask which subcontractors can access the environment.

Why digital sovereignty matters with NeoXam GP

NeoXam GP is headquartered in France and therefore falls under European law: the GDPR, NIS2 and the Data Act. No foreign legislation can compel access to your data.

NeoXam GP runs on infrastructure you choose and control yourself. You decide where the data lives, including fully within the EU if you want — this is not a fixed hosting choice made by the vendor.

NeoXam GP is closed source, but you run the software yourself on your own infrastructure. The encryption keys and the runtime therefore stay under your own control, though you cannot audit or modify the source code. Ask about export options and open standards to limit software-level lock-in.

What this means for your organisation depends on your whole stack and context. The free assessment weighs NeoXam GP together with your other vendors and gives a total score, a heatmap and the main risk drivers.
