Nmbrs is cloud software for payroll and HR administration, aimed at business owners and accounting firms. It provides salary administration, HR automation and an employee app in which staff handle part of their own administration. Changes in HR data flow directly into payroll. The Nmbrs name now also covers invoicing, bookkeeping and reporting products from the same group.
Nmbrs is based in Amsterdam and is part of the Visma group, whose parent company is headquartered in Oslo, Norway. According to Nmbrs, all its products are hosted in the EU, with the hosting provider differing per product: Microsoft Azure for payroll and reporting, AWS Europe for accounting and Ospito for invoicing. Nmbrs lists independent assurance reports and certifications per product, including ISAE 3402 and ISO 27001. The software is not open source and cannot be self-hosted. For European organisations, the relevant points are that data is held in the EU while part of the infrastructure runs on US cloud providers.
