Ranorex Studio is a tool for functional UI testing of desktop applications (Windows), websites and mobile apps on iOS and Android. You create tests without code using a recorder and object recognition, or in code with C# and VB.NET through Visual Studio. BDD in Gherkin, Selenium integration, data-driven testing and reports with screenshots and video are also supported. Integrations exist with tools such as Jira, TestRail, Jenkins and Azure DevOps. According to the website, secure on-premises deployment is possible. DesignWise, an AI-enhanced tool, optimises test cases before they are automated.
Ranorex GmbH was founded in Austria in 2007 and has its registered office in Vienna. Since 2017 it has been owned by the US company Idera, Inc., and it belongs to Sembi, a portfolio of Idera's testing and security brands; Ranorex Inc. in Austin, Texas, is the North American headquarters. A US parent company is the CLOUD Act signal, even though the European entity is in the EU. Because the software is deployed locally, test data stays in your environment. The software is not open source.
