It is available as a cloud service or can be installed on a customer's own servers.

The provider says the cloud service runs in ISO-certified data centres in Germany and Europe; its FAQ names Germany and Switzerland. Its privacy notice states that it aims to process data within the EU/EEA, with possible exceptions for service providers outside it. The on-premises option lets organisations keep data fully under their own control. The software is not open source.
