Shapr3D is a 3D CAD application originally built for the iPad with Apple Pencil, which now also runs on macOS, Windows and Apple Vision Pro. It offers direct and history-based modelling, constrained sketches, 2D technical drawings, rendering and AR visualisation, plus import and export of formats such as STEP and XT. It uses the Parasolid modelling kernel. Designs are saved locally and, when you are online, backed up to the Shapr3D Cloud; teams can collaborate through review links and Teamspaces.
Shapr3D (Shapr3D Zrt.) was founded in Budapest, Hungary, and is a commercial, closed-source application. According to the company's sub-processor list, the application and account services run on AWS servers in the EU, although other processors on the list are located in the US. The company states that enterprise customers can choose whether collaboration data sits on Shapr3D infrastructure or on their own. Organisations with strict requirements on where design files are stored should set this out contractually.
