VirtualBrowser is a Remote Browser Isolation (RBI) product. Users' web browsing runs in an isolated container on a remote server. Only a visual pixel stream reaches the user's browser, so no untrusted code runs on the workstation. In an admin console, administrators set policies per site, for example for copy and paste, upload, download and printing. The container is destroyed when the session ends. Nothing needs to be installed on the devices. The product is available as SaaS and as an on-premise virtual appliance.
VirtualBrowser is published by VirtualBrowser SAS in Paris, France. The website names no foreign parent company. For the SaaS option the vendor states hosting in France, on a shared or dedicated server. With on-premise deployment the product runs on your own servers. The pages reviewed contain no GDPR statement or data processing agreement, so ask the vendor. Because all web traffic of your users passes through this service, the choice between SaaS and on-premise determines who can see that traffic.
