Security Lighthouse is a security monitoring tool from AMPEG GmbH that gives IT security teams one view of the security status of their network. Agentless collectors read data from the central sources of the security software already in use. The data is normalised, correlated and presented in a security dashboard with many predefined analyses, a security information map by location, role-based access and a configurable rule set with thresholds. AMPEG calls this approach Security Level Management and includes results from cyber asset attack surface management.
AMPEG is based in Bremen, Germany, was founded in 1994 and developed Security Lighthouse between 2004 and 2006. The software runs on premises on Windows Server with IIS and SQL Server, and AMPEG states that all data is processed locally, not in a cloud. The pages consulted mention no hosted service, so data stays in the organisation's own infrastructure. AMPEG refers to its TeleTrusT membership. The server stack depends on Microsoft components.
