Visavid is a browser-based video conferencing system for meetings, webinars and distance learning. Features include breakout rooms, screen sharing, a whiteboard, polls, chat, a waiting room, room management and an Outlook add-in. According to its openCode profile there are apps for iOS and Android. It is delivered mainly as SaaS; installation in your own data centre (on-premises) is also possible.
Visavid is developed and offered by Auctores GmbH, a mid-sized company in Neumarkt, Bavaria. According to the vendor, the system runs exclusively in data centres in the EU, collects no tracking or user data for advertising and does not pass data on to third parties. Part of the source code, the backend and frontend of the state server, is published under the EUPL-1.2 on openCode; the description says a more comprehensive version is due during 2026. According to openCode, users include the Bavarian Ministry of Education and Culture, the Federal Police and the district of Görlitz.
