Accounto is a cloud platform for digital bookkeeping, aimed at Swiss fiduciary firms (Treuhand) and their clients. Clients deliver receipts and invoices digitally, an AI function recognises and posts them, and the firm works on live data. The modules cover annual accounts and budgeting, receivables and payables, expense claims, an optional payroll module and a mobile app. API interfaces connect third-party tools, and a white-label option lets the firm present the platform under its own brand. It is delivered as software as a service.
Accounto AG is headquartered in Zurich, Switzerland; the pages consulted name no foreign parent company. According to the vendor, data is kept in Switzerland in a Tier-3 data centre, and its privacy policy refers to servers in a secured data centre in Switzerland. Switzerland is not an EU member but an EFTA country with an EU adequacy decision. The policy applies Swiss data protection law and, where relevant, the GDPR. European organisations should ask the vendor for the data processing agreement and the list of sub-processors.
