Abelujo is an open-source web application for bookstores. It combines a till, stock management, customer orders, goods receipt, inventories and statistics. Titles are looked up by keyword or ISBN/EAN in bibliographic sources, including Dilicom and, on request, Electre. It works with USB barcode scanners and receipt printers, exports to CSV and PDF, and the maker also offers an online catalogue or shop website. Abelujo runs in the browser on Linux, macOS or Windows and supports several users.
The project is developed by a small maker in France, together with two web developers and partner bookshops; no separate legal entity is stated. The source code is released under the GPLv3, so you can install the software yourself. The maker also offers installation, hosting, training and support; the site does not say where that hosting is located. According to the site, two modules, the Electre connection and the stock synchronisation to book platforms, are not free. Development was co-funded through NLnet and the EU's NGI programme.
