ACS fit MES is a manufacturing execution system that connects shop-floor data with ERP planning. It covers production orders with bills of materials and routings, finite scheduling on a drag-and-drop Gantt chart with capacity and availability checks, machine, operating and process data capture, OEE figures and KPI dashboards, quality control with test plans and statistical process control, batch and serial-number traceability, and label printing. It uses a microservice architecture, connects machines through I/O modules or PLC interfaces, and has interfaces to ERP systems such as SAP, Microsoft Dynamics 365, Abacus and Sage.
The software comes from ACS Solution AG in Busswil, canton of Thurgau, Switzerland, a subsidiary of the Swiss automation firm ICS Automation AG. Switzerland is not an EU member but an EFTA country with an EU adequacy decision for data protection. The vendor implements the system on premises, in a private cloud or as a hybrid solution, so data location is decided with the customer. No parent outside Switzerland is stated.
