AirDroid Business is an MDM solution for managing Android devices, such as smartphones, point-of-sale terminals and dedicated devices, as well as devices running Windows 10 and higher. Administrators can enrol devices using templates, enforce policies, install, update and remove apps in bulk, manage files, set up kiosk mode and monitor device status. For support, it offers remote access, including a black-screen mode for unattended devices. Location tracking, remote wipe and an API for integrations are also available. The product is delivered as a cloud service, or it can run on-premises on your own infrastructure.
AirDroid Business is developed by Sand Studio, founded in Singapore in 2011 and still based there. The company cites TLS and 256-bit AES encryption and says it supports GDPR and HIPAA compliance. The website does not say where the cloud services are hosted. A European organisation that wants to keep data outside non-European jurisdiction can consider the on-premises option. The software is not open source.
